The rotor blade molds of this helicopter are precision machined from two solid billets of aircraft-grade aluminum.
Two mold sets were used; one for right and one for left-hand rotating rotor blades.
Molds have alignment pins to ensure halves fit precisely for consistent casting.
Rotor blades have a foam core with resin impregnated carbon-fiber. Carbon fiber is 10 times stronger than steel and 5 times lighter too.
