The T-45 first flew in 1988 and started training student aviators in 1991. The Boeing Aircraft Company Goshawk is based on the British Aerospace Hawk trainer.
This cockpit was part of an aircraft that is 39 feet long and 13 feet high, the wingspan is 31 feet.
Students learn formation flying, cross-country navigation and aerial combat. They also learn how to drop practice bombs and fire rockets.
The T-45 will be training new Navy and Marine Corps aviators at least until 2035.
