  • WP-3D Hurricane Hunter and Test Pilot with National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA Corps).

  • Former Lieutenant Commander, USN.

  • Developmental Test Pilot & Project Officer – Air Test and Evaluation Squadron 20.

  • Flag Aide for NAVAIR System Commander.

Shaw always wanted to be a test pilot, having the opportunity to work with countless different aircraft and influence the next generation of technology. She has had to confront biases in the field, but has overcome them with professionalism. Shaw found numerous male and female role models in positions of leadership within the fleet, noting that times have changed and military careers seem more accessible to women than ever before.
